OUR EMPLOYEES

Aché remains committed to attracting and retaining talents and to the development of all professionals so that they can leverage their careers and contribute more and more to the evolution of the business. All actions directed toward employees, including development programs and succession planning, are supported by the skills model, reviewed in the second half of 2017.

In order to meet both the daily demands and the strategic projects underway at Aché, in the case of the future site in Pernambuco, we created 247 new jobs. This should also be the perspective for the coming years. Another highlight is the internal recruitment rate, which corresponded to 48% in relation to the total of opportunities generated. We ended 2017 with 4,696 employees, 52% of them being women. [GRI 102-8]

Throughout 2017, the work of the Núcleo Incluir, Superar e Integrar [Include, Overcome and Integrate Center] was continued, which goes beyond the hiring of people with disabilities and seeks to ensure opportunities for development and an environment that respects the diversity. Through the Center, thirty (30) new professionals were hired, raising the number of employees with special needs to 218. In addition to recruitment and periodic follow-up, the program comprehends a specific training curriculum, the identification of promotion opportunities and awareness lectures for managers and employees, including newly hired professionals.

The lessons recently learned in the Center were shared at the 1st Accessibility and Inclusion Forum, promoted by the Guarulhos City Hall (Prefeitura Municipal de Guarulhos).

2017 Engagement Survey

In 2015, Aché participated in the Value and Career survey, promoted by the daily newspaper Valor Econômico, reaching 77% of engagement index. After structuring and implementing action plans, the Company apllied internal survey and achieved an index of 85% of engagement, demonstrating the effectiveness of the actions performed.

Aché Innovation Academy

In order to consolidate a culture of innovation in the Company that reaches different processes and activities of the company, the Aché Innovation Academy was structured. The premise is simple: to encourage our employees to create ideas capable of making the business even more competitive and sustainable. The second cycle of the initiative took place in 2017 and totaled 795 suggestions.

Out of these, 14 ideas will be put into practice and are now in the incubation phase, a process managed by a multidisciplinary Aché team.

In the first cycle, in 2016, 419 ideas were registered and 11 were selected. At the 2017 Innovation Fair, employees of the Guarulhos and Nações Unidas sites had the chance to know and vote on the best projects among incubators in cycle I.

The leadership also engages, choosing the best ideas, acting as team mentor and participating in aknowledgement actions.

In 2017, Aché continued to invest in its people training and development programs: Future Leaders; Development Curriculum; Trainee Program; Internship Program and Educational Partnership. We destined more than 247.6 thousand hours in order to prepare and develop the Aché Generation.

HR Responds

Based on the assumptions at the attendance quality, excellence and assurance of feedback to employees, in July, the Human Resources area launched the RH Atende [HR Answers] channel, which centralized the attendance to the various demands of the professionals, which gave more agility to requests and strengthened the relationship with the entire Aché Generation. The assistances is face-to-face, in an exclusive space set up at the Guarulhos plant, and also by email, telephone and through a specific software. In a survey that measured user satisfaction, 82% rated the new channel as great.

Safe behavior

Aché’s occupational health and safety guidelines are defined in the Company’s Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Policy, certified by OHSAS 18001, for occupational health and safety management.

In 2017, the Health and Life area conducted several campaigns to encourage the adoption of healthy habits and prevent diseases, in addition to maintaining support programs for pregnant women and cancer patients, among other risk groups.
