OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

Operational Excellence is one of the pillars of the Strategic Plan. It is fundamental for our business as it enhances product security and quality and helps us improve and optimize the usage of internal resources, cutting manufacturing, sales and logistics costs. Investments in this area have yielded gains for both our business and our stakeholders.

To meet company needs while maintaining customer focus, we reduced supply disruption due to lack of product inventory at the points of sale by 50% owing to better planning processes, which enabled our Operations, Marketing, Sales and Quality areas to work with greater integration throughout S&OP processes.

chatAs part of its operational excellence program, in 2015 Aché invested R$ 111.8 million in manufacturing. Industrial investments combined with the company’s continuous improvement program yielded a 16% increase in productivity and a 14% rise in overall equipment effectiveness at our plants.

We strengthened our ingredient negotiations with strategic suppliers by means of more robust commercial agreements and risk mitigation at the qualification process, ensuring sustainable results.

We invested R$ 27 million in programs and initiatives centered on preparing and developing the Aché Generation in 2015.

Among our people management actions, the Líderes do Futuro Program stands out. The initiative is designed to map potential leaders and provide candidates with specific training and accelerated development to enhance their technical and behavioral capabilities.

Aché is also focused on knowledge management and sharing among its employees to provide greater integration among the areas and convey a global, systemic vision of our business model. with this in mind, we will maintain our Por Dentro do Aché, Gestor no Campo and Gestor na Produção programs for another year.

Code of Conduct

In addition to our full compliance with all pertinent legislation, Aché provides its Code of Conduct, which establishes guidelines for our employees and is in line with Law 12.846/2013 (the “Clean Business Law”). The document is handed out to 100% of our employees and its content is continuously restated through specific training.

Aché has over 2,000 professionals in its Demand Generation and Sales Forces. Their mission is to drive sales growth, increasing our presence  and upholding the company’s leadership position in prescription drugs.

The Demand Generation Force is in charge of providing physicians nationwide with information regarding Aché products as well as scientific updates. Our teams reached over 157,000 health professionals in 2015.

The Sales Force also operates at points of sales by negotiating Aché products and promoting their display and visibility. These professionals also offer support information to retailers. They visit around 18,000 points of sale.

Teams receive face-to-face and online training throughout the year. These programs provide technical and scientific information and approach aspects of our organizational culture, strategic guidelines and norms of conduct.

ENGAGEMENT AND PRIDE IN BEING ACHÉ

We value the Aché Generation through structured programs to enable a safe, healthy and motivating workplace environment.

The Programa Cuidar initiative is a good example. It is active on four fronts: Safety Behavior, Wellbeing, Environment and Family. Through campaigns and other continuous actions offering information on healthcare, safety and quality of life, employees get engaged in building a safer and healthier environment in- and outside the company. under the Family pillar, created in 2015, Aché opened its doors to employee family members, bringing their loved ones closer to the company by allowing them to visit the Guarulhos and Nações Unidas plants and other actions.

Socialization and recognition for senior members of the Aché Generation are encouraged through programs such as Acheanos de Casa. The Encontro de Ação de Graças gathering, which takes place at the end of each year, is an opportunity for us to contemplate. Finally, Celebraché is the end-of-the-year celebration for company leaders and teams.

At the Guarulhos plant, we support the Childhood Development Center, which serves employee children aged four or under and promotes learning skills through physical activities and interdisciplinary classes.
